Coming soon to a theater near you--a $7 movie ticket? Consider this: two Cineplex Odeon theaters in New York--one being the flagship Ziegfeld--upped prices to $7 a pop last weekend without notice. Can Los Angeles’ 41 Cineplex screens be far behind? The signs look ominous. Cineplex chairman Garth Drabinsky would have no comment on the price increase, a spokesman for the Toronto-based exhibitor said Wednesday.
