Croton to Defy Bradley’s Order

Cultural Affairs Department General Manager Fred Croton said today he will defy a direct order by Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley that he vacate his office, at least until the City Council acts on Bradley’s demand for his ouster.

The embattled Croton, who has until 5 p.m. to clear out his desk, said in an interview that he has been advised by his lawyer to remain on the job.
