Stolen Cars
Los Angeles is one of the stolen car capitals of the United States. Why? Easy money--stripped cars bring the used-parts dealer more wealth from stealing than from honest dealing . . . no waiting, we steal on demand.
Recently in my family three cars were stolen; one was totaled with a baseball bat, one was found dead, stripped of its dignity, and my 1972 orange pickup truck is still missing in action.
Please, if you notice a car or truck sitting in front of your residence call the Los Angeles Police Department; after three days it is considered abandoned.
You can help return lost and stolen cars that teen-agers borrow and the professionals steal and strip.
