Detroit rock ‘n’ roller Mitch Ryder is a little late but he’s out with a spoof of Marine Lt. Col. Oliver North. The song, “Good Golly, Ask Ollie,” is a spoof of “Good Golly, Miss Molly” with lyrics by Marc Black that poke fun at North’s testimony before the Iran- contra committee. Ryder is backed by the band from the David Letterman show. “Good golly, ask Ollie,” Ryder screams, “he’s sure rock ‘n’ roll. You can’t ask Mr. Reagan, he can’t recall.”
