3 Killed as Plane Crashes Near Airport in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Three people were killed and a fourth was critically injured Saturday when a small private plane apparently experienced engine trouble shortly after taking off and crashed near Louisville’s Bowman Field, authorities said. Air traffic controllers said the plane was on its way to Athens, Ga.
