San Diego
An 18-year-old high school student died early Sunday after the car in which he was riding collided with another vehicle on Genesee Avenue in Clairemont, rolled down an embankment and overturned.
San Diego police said that the car had been involved in two hit-and-run collisions before going out of control. The driver of the vehicle was arrested, but police declined to release his name or specify the charges because he is a juvenile. He was uninjured.
Leng Chang, 18, a Kearny High School student, was declared dead at 12:42 a.m. at Sharp Memorial Hospital.
The accident occurred at 10:05 p.m. Saturday, as the car was southbound in the 3200 block of Genesee.
