Two days after setting a course record at Encino’s Woodley Park, Mike Glaze of Notre Dame High narrowly missed establishing a course record at Griffith Park in a Del Rey League dual meet against Loyola on Saturday.
Glaze, the defending league champion, clocked 13 minutes, 59 seconds over the 2.8-mile course. Mike McCracken of Loyola set the record of 13:53 in 1985.
Despite Glaze’s performance, Notre Dame (1-4) lost the meet, 20-41. Loyola is 4-0.
