Irving Sherman Heads Unit of Civil Engineers
Irving Sherman, Woodland Hills, has been elected president of the Los Angeles section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
The outgoing president, Thomas S. Maddock, was installed as junior past president and Donald R. Strand as senior past president.
Other officers are Frank R. Bowerman, president-elect; Robert W. Bein and Bryan A. Stirrat, vice presidents; Keith Tucker, secretary, and Robert A. Burks, treasurer. Directors are Michael J. Foote, Thornton E. Piersall, Richard Corneille, Kenneth R. Jones, Dolores Taylor and Bruce Deeter.
Ajit Bose-Roy is assistant treasurer; David Harrison, president, associate member forum, and Deborah Davis-Suddarth, past president, associate member forum.
The society, founded in 1852, is the oldest national engineering group in the United States.
