A Yorba Linda man has been arraigned on charges of molesting two girls from his neighborhood, authorities said.
Leonard Brady Espinosa, 56, was arrested and extradited from Phoenix Thursday on 23 counts of child molesting, according to Lt. Bob Rivas of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Espinosa was being held in Orange County Jail on $250,000 bail.
Rivas said Espinosa, whose occupation was not known, had rented a small room in a Yorba Linda garage for the last two years.
He is accused of molesting two girls, one age 8, the other 13, from June through August of this year, according to Rivas, who said sheriff’s deputies got a warrant for Espinosa’s arrest on Sept. 24 and located him in Phoenix, where local police arrested him at his motel.
He was brought to Orange County on Thursday and arraigned Friday in Fullerton. Rivas said that the sheriff’s sex crimes unit is continuing its investigation in this case.
