Davis to Be Warsaw Envoy

WASHINGTON — The White House formally announced Tuesday that President Reagan intends to nominate John R. Davis Jr., the U.S. charge d’affaires in Warsaw, as ambassador to Poland. Davis has been in charge of the Warsaw embassy during the four-year period the U.S. government allowed the top post to remain vacant.
