Scholarship Winners Named
The UCLA Alumni Assn. Advisory and Scholarship program has named 20 high school students, including Kelii Gurfield of Santa Monica, as top winners in its statewide freshman scholarship competition. Gurfield received a $5,000-a-year scholarship for four-year studies in physics at UCLA.
The alumni organization also will award merit scholarships of from $1,000 to $2,500 to California community college students who have applied to UCLA for fall admission. Last year, Robert Kilgore II of Santa Monica College won a $2,000 award.
Scholarship information is available by calling (213) 825-3901.
