Tandon plans to change its financial reporting period to a calendar year ending Dec. 31 from its fiscal year ending the last Sunday in September.
The Chatsworth maker of personal computers and computer disk drives also said it changed accountants, hiring Deloitte Haskins & Sells to succeed Arthur Andersen & Co. A Tandon spokesman, Mike Sanders, declined comment on why the change was made.
In the nine months ended June 28, Tandon earned $11.7 million on sales of $238.6 million.
