Arafat Drops Hungary Visit; Israel Ties Cited

BELGRADE, Yugoslavia — Palestine Liberation Organization Chairman Yasser Arafat canceled a visit to Hungary because it upgraded ties with Israel, Palestinian and diplomatic sources said on Friday.
Tayeb Abdel-Rahim, the PLO representative in Belgrade, said Arafat would visit Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union. Arafat was to have two days of talks next week with Yugoslav President Lazar Mojsov and other officials.
“His visit will precede a meeting of the PLO Central Council and a visit to the Soviet Union,” Abdel-Rahim said.
