A Purrrr-fect Weekend for a Cat Show
More than 600 representatives of the animal that is always available for light mousekeeping will take over the Los Angeles Convention Center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday .
The occasion is the West Coast edition of the International Cat Show, featuring champions from around the globe--everything from the Longhair Scottish Fold to the Norwegian Forest Cat, even though the common household variety will probably be at the forefront.
For the price of $8 for adults, $4 for children younger than 12 and seniors 62 and older, fanciers may spend their time watching the continual judging or participating in seminars, lectures and auctions of original cat paintings, and enjoying a marketplace of kitty merchandise.
A portion of the show’s proceeds will benefit Actors and Others for Animals. For the lover of felines, more than an abundance of the paws that refresh.
