Idaho State Beats USIU in Volleyball Final
The U.S. International University women’s volleyball team finished second in the Bengal Invitational tournament after losing to host Idaho State, 16-14, 15-13, 11-15, 15-11, Saturday night at Pocatello, Ida.
The Gulls (5-1) defeated the University of Portland earlier Saturday, 10-15, 15-6, 15-8, 15-7, to advance to the final.
Junior Claudia Johnson led the team in kills in both games. Johnson had 17 against Portland and 12 against Idaho State. Senior Nancy Dome had 15 kills in the first game and 10 in the final.
