A recall of six brands of cottage cheese made by Knudsen Corp. does not involve Alpha Beta brand cottage cheese in Southern California stores, an Alpha Beta official said, adding the products involved in the recall were sold only in the chain’s San Francisco Bay Area stores. Knudsen announced earlier that the voluntary recall was undertaken because glass particles may be found in the products. The Alpha Beta brand cottage cheese sold in Southern California is made by a different producer, not Knudsen, the Alpha Beta official said.
