Amplicon Inc. of Santa Ana reported earnings of $4.9 million for its 1987 fiscal year ended June 30, up 17% from the $4.2 million posted in its fiscal 1986. Revenues for the year rose 49% to $74 million, from $49.7 million a year earlier.
Earnings for the fourth quarter were $1.45 million, up 12% from the $1.3 million posted in the final quarter of fiscal 1986. Revenues for the fourth quarter of fiscal 1987 increased 66% to $21.7 million, from $13.1 million reported for the same period last year.
Patrick Paddon, president and chief executive officer, attributed Amplicon’s performance to large numbers of new leases and profits on the company’s residual equipment investments.
Amplicon sells, leases and finances mid-range computers, peripherals and other electronic equipment.
