Emmitt Cohick hit two home runs, and Bret Boone drove in four runs to give San Pedro the Connie Mack World Series championship with a 10-6 victory over Cincinnati Friday night at Farmington, N.M.
Cohick, from Fullerton College and Anaheim Esperanza High School, hit five home runs in the double-elimination tournament, leading San Pedro to a 6-1 record.
Boone, from Placentia El Dorado High, doubled in two runs to tie the score, 6-6, in the fourth. Cohick hit his first homer, a two-run shot, later in the inning to put San Pedro ahead for good.
