All-time home run leader Hank Aaron said he preferred playing when he turned down an offer in 1975 to manage the Milwaukee Brewers, the Milwaukee Journal said in a copyright story in Sunday’s editions.
The American League club was thinking of replacing manager Del Crandall when he got the offer, Aaron said in an interview in Atlanta, where he is a vice president of the Braves.
