Draft Nancy
Except for the Gary Hart scandal, the 1988 presidential race has been boring. First, judging for the televised debate between the Democrat Party candidates, it is obvious that except for minor posturing, there is very little difference between them and they are all saying the same old stuff. Second, the Republican Party candidates aren’t any better.
I’ve found a solution, however. Let’s draft Nancy Reagan for the Republican nomination. As we all know, the nation on the average is getting older and more female, so she’s the perfect candidate. Besides we all know that she’s the power behind the President in the White House anyway.
So here’s to four more years of Reagan (Nancy that is) in the White House.
