MAI Basic Four Inc., a Tustin-based designer and manufacturer of business computers, said it is continuing its expansion into Europe with the acquisition of Romijn Software of the Netherlands. Terms of the cash sale were not disclosed.
Romijn, a software supplier with $1 million in sales last year, is one of eight acquisitions made by MAI Basic Four within the last six months, President William B. Patton Jr. said.
The company is likely to make more acquisitions in the months ahead, he said.
Tom Zender, vice president for corporate development, said the company has been buying its suppliers to increase profits from software sales, expand market share and improve customer contact.
