Bridges, a board member for the past four years, succeeds Gerald Klein, a Garden Grove lawyer.

COPES, which stands for Child or Parental Emergency Services, is a 24-hour crisis center staffed by volunteers that provides emergency shelter to children ages 5 and under and also offers counseling and education for parents.
