Ben Johnson Wins 100 Meters in 10-Flat

KOBLENZ, West Germany — Ben Johnson of Canada won the 100-meter dash in an even 10 seconds Thursday at the Koblenz international track and field meet.
Stanley Floyd was second in 10.39 seconds.
William van Dijck of Belgium had the best time of the year in the 3,000-meter steeplchase, 8:13.27. Britain’s Steve Ovett finished a disappointing 11th in the 5,000 meters.
