Yields on 30-year Treasury bonds rose to the highest level in 19 months as the government completed a series of auctions that raised $28 billion. The average yield was 8.89%, up from 8.76% at the last auction on May 6. It was the highest rate since 30-year bonds averaged 9.28% on Feb. 6, 1986. The bonds will carry a coupon interest rate of 8.87% with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,984.20. A total of $9 billion in bonds were sold out of bids totaling $30.1 billion.
