Rosario Stops Nazario With 8th-Round TKO

CHICAGO — Edwin Rosario scored a technical knockout in the eighth round Tuesday night to beat Puerto Rican rival Juan Nazario and retain his World Boxing Assn. lightweight championship title.
Rosario had cornered Nazario and pummeled him with a combination of punches to knock him off balance for the final blow in the bout at the University of Illinois-Chicago pavilion before about 2,300 people.
