A civil lawsuit that charged General Dynamics with overcharging the government for the DIVAD anti-aircraft system is being dropped by the Justice Department. The decision follows the June 22 dismissal of a companion criminal case against the company. Both actions were filed at U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. The civil suit, filed March 26, 1986, charged the company with overcharging the government an unspecified amount on a contract for production of the Divisional Air Defense Gun Systems.
