Good Judgment Earns Top Seeding With Win
SAN DIEGO — Former San Diego State forward Eddie Gordon scored 36 points and pulled down 15 rebounds Sunday to lead Good Judgment to a 130-121 victory over Courageous Endurance in a Supreme Court San Diego Pro-Am basketball game.
The victory gained Good Judgment the No. 1 seeding in next weekend’s league championships.
Good Judgment (6-1) pulled away from a 95-95 tie at Memorial Gym with help from Carl Rustin, who scored 31 points, and Drake Jones, who scored 26 and had 13 steals.
Good Judgment will face The Truth (0-7) in Friday’s first round. The Truth was beaten Sunday, 96-89, by Nice Advice (3-4), which was led by Tim Karrim’s 33 points.
In other first-round games Friday, Courageous Endurance (5-2) will meet Nice Advice, The Crown (5-2) will meet Understanding (2-5) and Unpretentious (4-3) will play Pius Players (3-4). The championship game is scheduled for next Sunday.
