Radioactive Gas Released

WASHINGTON — A small amount of radioactive tritium gas was accidentally released into the atmosphere Friday from a nuclear weapons processing facility at the government’s Savannah River plant in South Carolina, the Energy Department announced. A department spokesman said no evacuation was required.
