Everett M. Brookhart has been appointed chief deputy insurance commissioner for the California Department of Insurance. Brookhart, a Chatsworth resident, has been chief of the consumer affairs division for the Department of Insurance since 1985. He reports to Insurance Commissioner Roxani Gillespie.
