SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — Police arrested a man who caused a chain-reaction car crash and then used a 34-inch sword to hold off seven armed police officers.
Police said Phillip Schlosser, 26, yelled, “Go ahead and shoot me” after officers surrounded him Saturday.
“The guy apparently thought he was Conan the Barbarian,” said police Sgt. Terry McGraw. He said Schlosser was captured when an officer crept up behind him and hit him on the head with a baton.
