The madam and call girls are long gone, but the notorious bordello that inspired the musical (and film) “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” now has customers clamoring to spend their money on souvenir belt buckles, fancy negligees and tiny parcels of real estate. Houston entrepreneur Todd Hoffman, who recently bought the abandoned “Chicken Ranch,” said Wednesday that he wants to make it a “family-oriented place where people can learn about what the role of prostitution was in settling the West without getting into pornography.”
