McMackin’s 2 Homers Lead Chatsworth, 14-0

Rex McMackin hit two home runs, scored three times and had five runs batted in as Chatsworth defeated Encino-Crespi, 14-0, in an American Legion District 20 Western Division game Tuesday at Chatsworth.

Pierce Amado and David Maine combined on a three-hitter for Chatsworth in the game, which was called after five innings under the American Legion 10-run rule.

Earlier in the day, Encino-Crespi recorded a 12-10 victory over Chatsworth in the completion of a game suspended June 21. Chris Spears was the winning pitcher, striking out 11 in six innings.

Chatsworth improved to 16-5 in District 20 Western Division play. Encino-Crespi is 9-10.
