OCEANPORT, N.J. — Lady’s Secret became the all-time money-winner among fillies and mares Tuesday, coasting to a seven-length victory in a $25,000 allowance race at Monmouth Park.
Lady’s Secret earned $15,000 for the victory, pushing her career earnings to $3,021,425.
She surpassed All Along, the 1983 Horse of the Year who earned $3,015,764.
After a year filled with struggles, including a 32 1/2-length defeat in the Donn Handicap and a loss as the 3-10 favorite in the Molly Pitcher Handicap earlier this month, Lady’s Secret rebounded with a convincing victory.
