Rites for Homer Smith Scheduled on Thursday
Funeral services for Homer Smith, former executive director of the Los Angeles City Housing Authority, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Memorial-Park Sunnyside in Long Beach, family members said Tuesday.
Smith, 54, who resigned from the Housing Authority in 1985 after 27 years as an employee of the city, died Sunday after suffering a heart attack while playing handball.
