North Appeals Order to Comply With Subpoena

WASHINGTON — Attorneys for Lt. Col. Oliver L. North on Thursday moved to appeal a federal judge’s order that he comply with a grand jury subpoena obtained by the independent counsel investigating the Iran- contra affair.
North’s lawyers filed a notice of appeal to an order issued July 10 by Chief U.S. District Judge Aubrey E. Robinson Jr. Robinson last week rejected North’s challenge to the authority of independent counsel Lawrence E. Walsh to obtain the grand jury subpoena.
