Garden Grove : Export Trade to Korea Topic of City Seminar
- Share via
The city is sponsoring a trade seminar July 15 for local business representatives interested in exporting products to South Korea.
Mayor Jonathan H. Cannon said the seminar will assist businesses in participating in a special U.S. Products Show that will be held in Seoul in November, at which time Korean firms will be encouraged to buy more U.S. goods.
Cannon said that the South Korean government has authorized spending $2.5 billion on U.S. products. He said the seminar could help Orange County businesses obtain a share of that market.
James W. Booth, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in South Korea, will be a speaker during the daylong conference. Republican Sen. Pete Wilson of San Diego will also address the conference.
