Buena Park : Radio Group Seeks Ways to Assist in Emergencies
- Share via
A recently formed group of amateur radio operators will gather next week to discuss ways to assist police and fire departments during emergencies.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. July 13 at the Buena Park Police Department, 6650 Beach Blvd.
Dubbed RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service), the organization is also available to provide communication assistance to the city during large civic and social activities. Some other cities in the county have recently organized similar groups, according to Grant Barnet, head of the Buena Park organization.
For more information, call Barnet at (714) 995-3090.
