A fire consumed about eight acres of brush Thursday near a residential neighborhood in Southeast San Diego, but no buildings were damaged and no one was injured, the San Diego Fire Department reported.
The fire began in a canyon along Paradise Valley Road near Munda Road. It was contained within 45 minutes, and firefighters said they suspect arson.
