Top-seeded Mike Sigel defeated Buddy Hall, 7-5, 7-5, late Sunday night to win the $50,000 Peter Vitalie Co. California Nine-Ball tournament at the Biltmore Hotel.
Sigel collected the $15,000 first prize, while Hall made $7,000.
In Sunday’s semifinals, Sigel struggled past Efren Reyes, 7-3, 4-7, 7-5, and Hall beat Mike Lebron, 7-6, 7-4.
