The University of Pittsburgh declared senior football players Charles Gladman and Teryl Austin ineligible for the 1987 season because of their links to a professional sports agent who is under grand jury investigation.
Austin, a defensive back from Sharon, Pa., has admitted violating NCAA rules by accepting money from agent Norby Walters last season, Pitt Athletic Director Ed Bozik said. Gladman, a running back from Akron, Ohio, continues to deny wrongdoing but has refused to cooperate with Pitt or NCAA investigations, Bozik said.
