Charles E. Cobb Jr. of Miami, a director of Walt Disney Co. and head of its Arvida real estate subsidiary in Florida, was nominated to be assistant secretary of commerce for trade development. Disney is selling its Arvida unit.
“The promotion of exports is one of the nation’s top priorities and I am looking forward to working with the Secretary of Commerce,” Cobb said. He would succeed Harold Peter Goldfield.
