Marie Rothenberg, mother of 9-year-old burn victim David Rothenberg, will be among panelists speaking at a one-day conference for burn survivors, their families and health professionals on June 20 at the Disneyland Hotel.
Rothenberg will discuss family needs in coping with the recovery of burn victims. She and her son were the subject of a national news after David suffered disfiguring burns in a 1983 fire at a Buena Park motel started by his father.
The conference for burn victims is sponsored by the Orange County Burn Assn., based at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange.
The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is open to the public. The $15 registration fee includes lunch. Information is available by calling (714) 634-1199.
