Conference to Seek Industry for Palm Desert

Nine major sponsors have been signed up to defray expenses for Palm Desert’s attempt to attract year-around “smokeless” light industry to local business sites, through the Coachella Valley Business Outlook Conference June 14-16 at Marriott’s Desert Springs Resort, .
Sponsors of the three-day conference include Best, Best & Krieger, a law firm; the cities of Indio and Palm Desert; Riverside County; Drexel, Burnham, Lambert & Co.; Landmark Land Co.; Stone & Youngberg, financial consultants; Sunrise Co., and a cooperative effort between the City of Palm Springs and the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce.
Tuition rate is $95 for local residents; a $185 conference fee includes two nights at the recently opened Marriott Desert Springs Resort in Palm Desert.
