MINNEAPOLIS — Former Vice President Walter F. Mondale said Friday he is moving back to his native Minnesota to join a Minneapolis law firm, but that it is “highly unlikely” he will seek political office again.
Mondale, the 1984 Democratic presidential nominee, said at a news conference that he will join the law firm of Dorsey & Whitney as a partner in September. He said he will specialize in international law, corporate and public finance and administrative law.
Mondale has been managing partner of the Washington office of Winston & Strawn, a Chicago law firm.
