Two teen-age boys have been arrested in the shooting death of one woman and the robbery and wounding of another, Huntington Park police said. Detective John Aldecoa said officers stopped a car occupied by three young men because it matched one seen leaving the 5800 block of South Compton Avenue shortly after Guillermina Huerta of Huntington Park was fatally shot Monday. The same pair were suspected of being involved in the Tuesday shooting of Elena Rosa during a robbery attempt near the corner of Zoe and Gage avenues. Aldecoa said a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old found in the car were booked on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. The third boy in the car was interrogated but was not believed to be involved in either attack, he said.
