Micro General Trims Loss to $18,296 for Quarter
Micro General Corp. reported an $18,296 net loss for the first quarter of 1987, compared to a net loss of $28,475 for the first quarter of 1986. Revenues for the period ended March 29 declined to $1 million, from $1.1 million a year earlier.
George D. O’Leary, president and chief executive officer, said the Irvine-based company’s first quarter traditionally is its worst. In addition, he said, sales of Micro General’s line of postal scales slipped in the most recent first quarter.
Despite that slip, he said, the company reduced operating costs sufficiently to cut its loss for the period, when compared to the loss in the first quarter of 1986.
Micro General designs, manufactures and sells electronic parcel shipping systems and postal scales.
