Dick Allen singled home Willie Davis in the third inning, giving an old-timers all-star team a 1-1 tie with the 1967 St. Louis Cardinals in an Equitable Old-Timers game at St. Louis.

Allen’s hit came off Ray Washburn, one of seven former St. Louis pitchers in the four-inning game.

The game launched a 26-game Equitable series to be played in each major league park this year. The series, which is in its second year, will raise $260,000 for the Baseball Alumni Team.
