At least four people were killed and seven wounded when troops raided guerrilla camps in southern Bangladesh, police said Sunday. They said one of the tribal Shanti Bahini (Peace Force) guerrillas, one soldier, one border guard and a policeman died during dusk-to-dawn attacks on at least six rebel hideouts in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.

Hundreds of soldiers took part in raids at Langadu, 40 miles from Rangamati, after five civilians were injured when rebels ambushed a river ferry, police said.
