Lawyers for subway gunman Bernhard H. Goetz said they want to take the jury that must decide his fate into the subway where he shot and wounded four youths with a silver pistol more than two years ago. The grimy, graffiti-smeared subway car that became the site of the celebrated shooting is now part of a work train, transit police said. The defense attorneys nevertheless asked New York Supreme Court Justice Stephen Crane to allow them to take the four-woman, eight-man jury to either that car or a similar subway car.
