Woman Killed After Running Red Light
A 37-year-old Rancho Palos Verdes woman was killed Tuesday when the car she was driving was struck by a van after she ran a red light at a Van Nuys intersection, Los Angeles police said.
The woman, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank following the 12:30 p.m. accident at the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Oxnard Street, Sgt. Dennis Zine said.
A woman driving the van was treated for minor cuts and abrasions at the Medical Center of North Hollywood and released, Zine said.
